I'm writing a book, and I want to find a good publisher for it once it's finished. It is intended to be a series, but where can I find a good publisher? I really want to know.

I'd need to know what genre its in. I write as well (romance) in my spare time and I'm fairly familiar with the submission process.

Unless you intend on self-publishing your book, you will have to get a literary agent and submit your work to a publishing house for review. Most of the large publishing houses have agent-only submission policies. They figure if you are able to get an agent, chances are, your work is good enough to bear looking at.

It's not "finding" the publishing houses that is hard. It's the submissions process and the sheer number of people battling to get their stuff published.

You'll need to get an agent to be seen at most publishers. www.agentquery.com

First complete the book and then search the publisher.
