I want to fit about 800 songs onto a cd-rw 700mb disc
i dont need to be able to play the songs. i have them all on my ipod, but ive had some trouble with ipods before and dont want to lose all my music. i dont want to use up a lot of memory on my computer either by keeping all the songs. so i would just like to store all the music on a disc...is there any program i can used to do it? i tried putting the music on as files and couldn't fit them all on that way either

Not going to happen. The most compressed format on a CD is MP3 format burned as a data disc. You'll get about 120 songs on a CD like that, but won't be able to play them from the CD.

Burn them to a DVD, you'll get more. Or pick up a Gig flash drive.

MP3 is already a compressed format. I dont think you would get much out of trying to compress them again.
