If you mean, tight braids (corn rows) then she's too little. She still has that soft spot on her head, so it would be to tight and painful. But if you do a loose braid in her hair, it should be ok

Well if she has enough hair, braid away. Just make sure the braids are not in to tight.

If it means you're going to pull her hair so tight that it's going to look like she's had a facelift, then NEVER. I don't understand parents who do this to their kids. It looks incredibly painful to me.
Why not just wash/detangle/comb it more often? Or take her to a hair dresser and let her use thinning shears on your child?

You can braid her hair whenever you like. Although most babies would shed all their hair and start growing new ones.

Use your own judgement and stop relying on others opinions...it will drive you nuts.
