Actually, there we computers set up to play chess even before video games like Pong. I think the Commodore 64 with various simple games was probably the first for home use, and Pong was the first commerical game.

I think that the Oldest Gaming System has to be Atari.... It was from the 80's... Nintendo I believe.

then came nintendo and gaming explosion

the first one was a plain old television set that you can play a two player game called "chase" then after that came "ping-pong"
