1. Substitute the variables (a,b,c) with the numbers given (3,-2, 1)
2. By using the distributive property multiply the coeffecient by the number in the parantheses
3. After you get your answer, find the difference b/w the first answer and the second

The answer is ......... 24 (sorry!)

well if A=3 and B=-2 then 6a would be 6x3 which is 18, and 3b would be 3x-2 which is -6 so 18 minus -6 is 12

sooo i dont no if i did it right or not but i learnd this last year lol

where you see "A" for example, put a 3 there in place of it, 2 takes place of B, and 1 takes place of C (though I do not see C in the problem). Use the distributive property from there (multiply 3 by 6, etc) and then subtract the 2 numbers you end up with.

6a - 3b
= 6 (3) - 3(-2) (here you can continue your multiplication on the numbers but do not forget about the negative signs. negative x negative will become positive..) and now you can workout the answer.

Remember the order of operations
Working left to right

Do multiplication / division
then
Do addition /subtraction

Also....multiplication is an implicit operation. If there is no operator between terms...it is understood to mean multiply
for instance....3y means ....3 times y
4( 3x + 5) means 4 times the quantity of 3 times x plus 5
6xyz means 6 times x times y times z

Did you forget something???? there is no need for the "c" value

2nd line will be = 6(3) - 3(2)...you need to multiply the numbers on each side of the minus sign, for example 6x3 - 3x2.

3rd line will be = the answer to each side of the minus sign, for example 18 - 6

4th line will be = the answer to 18 - 6

Well they want to find the product, then subtract.

6a-6b

a=3, b=2

(6*3)-(6*2), use par. because of PEMDAS/order of operations.

I don't know why they gave you c though, probably just to confuse you.
