A generally reserved people but once you get to know them you find they are capable of considerable depth. Given to indirect speech, understatement and irony. I think they have not yet quite come to terms with the fact that the Empire has been gone for decades, thouigh they have mixed feelings about the Empire, and many do not trust the European Union. They do not find it easy to befriend people from other backgrounds and countries. You can call it English insularity. Can rise to great heights of original humour.

I normally get along with everyone. I haven't a bit of racism or descrimination in my blood, but for God sakes, every British person I have ever met is incredibly immature and perverted!

In my experience, every Brit I've met has been a kind, wonderful person, so yes, I like the British.

I don't, I am Scottish and to me British is an English concept which they hang on to desperately as they have problems with their own national identity.

ok, some I think are fat pompus wind bags
but others I think are handsome and charming
but on all of them I love the accent!!!
