It depends on what you like. Nintendogs is one of thos games that have no real substance, but are real fun to play when you're waiting for something or just plain bored.

I recently purchased a ds lite. I love it because it is so small you can take it anywhere and the games are pretty good. I like the wifi that allows you to play multiplayer games with others that have a ds. I would get mario kart first then brain age, then big brain academy. Nintendogs is ok. The battery life is amazing. I am hoping that nintendo comes out with pda functionality for the ds. That would complete the package for me.

Nintendo DS has some wonderful games. I would suggest Super Princess Peach, and the new Super Mario Bros. Also, I believe there is a Castlevania game: Dawn of Sorrow which has great replayability.

some games for DS are fun but dont use the features on the system to their full potential so its not all that good and "nintendogs" is just a game to play for only about 30 minutes or so its not a game for hardcore gamers to play for hours at a time, you only play for an hour when you first get the game then it gets boring.

Me and my five year old are enjoying it.
We are on our 3rd (DS Lite).
We have had problems with the "B" button shorting out the unit.
Unit one, shorted in two weeks.
Unit two, one week.
All were returned for new trade at retailer.
It has been 6 weeks on current unit and all is well.
We were disappointed to find out that the downloads clear off the unit when it is powered down.

i'm sixteen, I relatively have a DS and that i like it!! Plus with the wireless features and being waiting to play gameboy advance video games as nicely, it not at all gets previous. it relatively is often exciting to have Mario handy once you're bored.

yes and yes. Get the special edition one, Best Friends. I have it and it is awesome. If you like pugs and small dogs get Dashaund and Friends. If you like chihuhas get chihuahua and friends even though many of the dogs on it are not as wll known you will still enjoy it. if you like big dogs get Lab and Friends. If you are in Europe you can get the European special called Dalmation and Friends. Or if you are in Japan you can get Shiba and Friends it is just like Lab and Friends but different name and I think it is in Japanese. The DS is great and pictochat is awesome too.

Yes it is! No it isn't! I recommend Advance wars DS and animal crossing and new super mario, and super princess peach, and mario kart of course.
