I mean c'mon he bailed us out against Paraguay and Ecuador and has always wore his heart on his sleeve. What about Lampard what did he do? Beckham has done more than Shawn Wright Philips for example, I think Mclaren is just playing to the media! Thoughts?.....

NO, HE SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN DROPPED. But in light of Englands decisive win over Greece 4-0, this side would be hard to defend. We would just have to wait and see if this new England team can survive the qualifying stages, which I might add they would really have to work on since Rooney would miss a couple of games as well. I hope Beckham would come back. Read Lang Whitaker's column on sports illustrated website wherein he stated that Steve Mclaren made the wrong decision and that Beckham was made out to be a fall guy; they put him on a pedestal only to tear him down once the going gets tough.

No, I Heart Him To Death. They Even Named A Move After him! Who Else Can Bend It Like Beckham? NO ONE. If You Know His Past, You Know That He Has Never Played Very Well In The World Cups. He Is An Awesome player in Season, But I Think The Pressure gets To Him. People Who Dislike Him From This World Cup, The Game England Got Eliminated... was interesting. Rooney, an AWESOME player, got red carded for stepping on someones, erm, privates. And Beckham was injured. If those two things did not happen, the possibly could have gone further. Rooney and Beckham have an amazing shot. Those Would Be the 2 That we missed, made.

I'm very sad He Got Dropped. But Stuff Happens, you get over it. He's Still My Hero.

I was waited for the game England vs Greece to be over before I answer this question. Well. it's hard to gauge against a team like Greece since they were not even on the roster for the WC 2006.

But you're right Lampard and Gerrard barely saw the back of the net from those kicks beautifully placed at their feet by Becks.

As usual, Hargreaves was playing for two.

Well mate! I believe that Lampard was “sent off” with a reason he could not find his game in the English team but for Beckham I support you, SM probably wasn’t sane at that very moment, but don’t worry I think that McLaren is doing this just to make sure that Beckham works better than ever (to make sure that he can build example in Becks for the whole young English team)…

yes England was smart to drop him. All he had was two good free kicks in the world cup but other than that he did nothing. He didn't play hard and wasn't a factor in most games. Also he is getting old.

well i dont totally agree with you but i agree he was as useful as a base ball bat on a soccer field i think Beckam was over rated ( don't mind i truly love him) and he stole the spotlight from some of the younger better players i think Lennon is a great player and Gerrard

I think he should have held on to him for just a little bit longer.
