I think I saw a documentary about exertion in cold weather, and they said people burn more calories in the cold because they have to keep there body temperature up. But you will lose more water weight in a hot environment. I would have to go with a slightly cool temp, because water loss is supposed to be ineficient for burning fat and calories, if that's your goal. If you are trying to just drop some weight in 24 hours you need to lose water weight, but it will come right back, of course.

room temp, that way you sweat more. just make sure you drink lots of water.

For me cold air causes exercise induced asthma, but I guess if this doesn't affect you it matters most that you are comfortable.
