don't forget the calcium. the folic acid is good, but if you take a vitamin you don't really have to worry. snack on nuts (not roasted) they are very healthy.
snack on yogurt, cheese, and drink lots of water. when i was pregnant with my twins the water helped keep my preterm labor contractions to a minimum, the leg cramps stopped and so did some of my headaches also no more UTI (unfortunately the trips to bathroom were crazy).
remember this: your baby will take all of the nutrients it needs and leave you stranded. your nutrition is what takes a hit. the baby is taken care of first.

take a folic acid tablet, or a prenatal vitamin that has it.
Folic acid are found in green leafy veggies, beans, they are hard for snack foods. You can try fortified cereal for snack. I think the best snack for you is fruits.

Any prenatal vitamin will supply plenty of folic acid, and there are a lot of fortified breads and cereals that supply a lot also. Don't forget to get enough calcium and iron also.

celery sticks carrot sticks cottage cheese jello salad fruit . to name a few. Raw veggies and fruits are high in folic nutrients...definitely stay away from any kind of sea food until after the 7th month tends to make baby and mommy sick....crackers and cheese are good too but mostly fruits and raw veggies.
