Find a junk store in your neighborhood and see if they have the same model you have . and ask how much they want for the part,

They are a wholesaler. When you see the wholsale vs what other people charge you it may inspire you to learn appliance repair.
Have a company name when they ask like "Tristeyo Appliance"
You will need the Maytag part number.

Even less expensive... you can buy a kitchen timer (like for baking) at any dollar store. Just set that for how long you've put your clothes in, and it will ding when times up.
