Hi Paul I am 5'9'' also but kids are getting taller today mostly due to hormones in meat. the considered average is about 5'10 1/2 '' acording to doctors but that is averaged from all men from 18 years of age to 100 years of age but I personally have noticed that most guys 24 to 34 seem to be 6' or over and of course all the ads show tall guys as it sells better so I don't know if we really ever get a clear picture of what the average really is.

This is absurd, I have been alive for almost 58 years, and I can tell you that most caucasian males do NOT average 6 feet. It is between 5'7 to about 5'10.

You're right. The average height is closer to his. It's 5'8" for American men. That's SHOOOORT. I like guys at least 5'11" or taller.
