System of a Down, Slipknot, Rage against the Machine, or Pantera. I hate dance/pop and these work well at getting my adrenaline pumping.

a lot of blues traveler - good jams, good pace for running, just awesome in general. also a big fan of sting, especially for cool-downs. occasionally the odd spot of bloodhound gang or OPM thrown in just for fun. bonnie raitt (i will not be broken) is a nice warm-up.

oh and gran torino but no one seems to remember them anymore. *sob*

Anything that's hip hop, it really gets you moving.
I run faster by listening to rap or by singing na- nana na by Nelly

Sean Paul makes me move faster (I have Temperature and Get Busy on my Gym playlist, but all of his stuff is good), I also have Shakira - "Hips Don't Lie" and "Laffy Taffy" by D4L (don't judge me! :-)
