I have a mazda 626. the engine blows out white smoke. It runs well although. Any additives out there that will work long enough for me to trade it in.

Sounds like the rings are shot i would get rid of it

It depends on the type of smoke, if it is a whitish antifreeze smelling smoke from either exhaust side, or from just one side, Iw ould say you have a blown head gasket and need to replace the head gaskets either on just the smoking side, or better yet both. if it is a bluish oily smelling smoke then you could have one of many ailments from broken oil rings to worn valve guides and anything in between, take it to a mechanic, if it is black smoke and is NOT A DIESEL, and it has a carburator on it, then your engine is flooding and probably needs a rebuild kit in the carb, or sonething needs adjusted.

White smoke is head gasket, wont get much unless you take it to a dumb dealer, it would go wholesale, the repiar would be close to a grand so theywont give you much for the car unless its great otherwise. they make stuff you can put in radiator that is ment to clog up hiles temp in cooling system and then harden, but i would never put it in my car, but since your trading it might as well try it out, one that comes to mind is Blue Devil.

Its probsably a blown head gasket. Use Moroso Ceramic engine seal. Trade it immediatly.

its a blown head gasket. your best bet to do is spend a little bit of money and get it fixed. them you can trade it in. i don't think any place will accept a car that have major problems like that.

yes there are if you want to just get rid of it. the good stuff only radiator shops have and not available to the public. but its a temp fix

make sure the key is on, put a gun to the engine block, and scream, if you light up another cigarette again im going to blow your stinking pistons all over this highway you smoking FREAK!
