GREECE was the last winner of the 2004 UEFA European Championship beating PORTUGAL in the final, 1-0 scored by Angelos Chariteas in the 57th minute.
the tournament was staged in PORTUGAL & ironically, this is the first time, both teams played in the opening match & the final. GREECE defeated PORTUGAL 2-1 in the opening match of the tournament.
the next UEFA European Championship will be held in AUSTRIA & SWITZERLAND from 07 June 2008 to 29 June 2008. the qualifying matches began on 16 August 2006 to 21 November 2007 when all 14 teams from all over Europe are known.

Greece won the Euro cup and Portugal was the runners up. Yes I do think Greece played well cuz they beat some of the better teams during their games. As for Portugal they played OK, but in the end they just didn't give there 100%. GO GREECE!!!!

Ammmm! Sure no problem, it was Greece, they didn’t show such good games and frankly I still can’t believe how they could win the euro cup… even Macedonia is better then them now, hahaha! Don’t you think so???
