Unless you have some sort of addiction you should be in your child's life. There is going to be no one more that your son will look up to than you. He needs you and you need to be there for him.

Good luck!

Your cop pin out my friend I think you are trying to get out of being this child's father and you will one day wish you had been there through all the years don't give up so easily on your son after all is this about your feelings or his general welfare? Do you want your child to think of you as a loser or somebody who loved him?Walking away is easy lots of men do this !Staying til he's grown is one heck of allot harder. Don't argue with his mother and don't talk about anything other then what concerns your child welfare.

depends on what you mean by a hindrance. Children need their families. At such a young age, your child will feel responsible for your absence and it may do more harm than you can imagine. I don't know the circumstances surrounding your decision but I would suggest that you think of his needs first and foremost even when it isn't easy for you. His mother should do everything in her power to help him see his father and if she isn't, maybe family counseling is in order. I would have to know why you think you are a hindrance in such a young child's life to fully answer but good luck and let me know if I can help you.

How is it a hindrance? Please tell me. You want to be a part of your child's life right? Or is it just an excuse so you don't have the responsibility. If this is a recent separation then things may be tough for a bit, but it will get better. You should set up a schedule and stick to it for a while...everyone will get used to it and things will get better!!!

There is no reason that you should not be in his life! Every child has an unconditional love for their parent. You could be a crack head, dope head, broke, homeless and your son will love you. But don't try to be in his life here and ther. Children need stabilty. Good Luck

You are a bad father. Get involved in your son's life and don't be a jerk.
