Depends if you are thinking about yourself or if you have children.
That being said since I have children I go with car less, you can swallow your pride and rely upon public transportation. A persons children should come first - they need a good loving home.
I was once homeless but lived out of my truck for about 6 months. I have come a long way from that many, many years ago and would never choose to put that level of stress on a child.
My mom was a terrible driver and would total every car she owned(with me in the back seat nearly scared to death) There were many times we were car less but never homeless.

Carless I could always ride the bus or get a cab. I like having a roof over my head.

i dont have a car now and i dont have a licens..
and i know how it is to be homeless. i have lived in a bus
stop when i was 16 for a year because my mom left me and stuff
