I think it was the fact that she choose an enemy ( kieth) and the worst chefs to be her final team. Heather may not be the likable, pretty, princess type but she has a good head on her body and sure as heck is determined. When she said chef ramsey was a kitten in the beggining she was dead on -she could handle it.

Virgina kept finding herself on chopping block for a reason and did not! That being said Virgina showed much improvement in last few weeks. Now Heather excelled throughout but did have problems. Keith was clearly the best chef but his attitude was his downfall. Now what killed Virgina her picks. Lets look at them

Keith - He couldn't stand her and would in no way aid her to win that was clear. In fact I wonder why FOX did not step in after he requested money to work for Virgina

Jacamo - Clearly he was worst of the lot! He failure to simple turn on an oven was HUGE red flag. No He should have been last!

Big mouth - I forgot his name. He was about himself he felt Superior even though he failed at nearly everything! He sweated in food and, cut himself TWICE and cried about it prompting Chef Ramsey to call him a Drama Queen!

No Virgina killed herself with her picks. Here is how I would have suggested she choose and why.

Garret - Not because he was best but because he was best Chef who would actually work with Virgina

Sara - If available she proved herself throughout and even though she a ***** she would have done her best

Rachel - She had her problems but still did pretty well much better than others who failed. Rachel would have worked and brought Virgina much needed help

Virgina's plan to use the worse was BIG mistake!

I would have to say that no matter who Virginia chose for her team, she would have lost. Heather is a much better chef and knows how to handle herself in the kitchen. She has great leadership abilities and would have been able to lead even the worst of the worst to a successful service. She deserved her win and earned it. I do think that Virginia would be a good restaurant owner, but not as head chef. She had some good ideas about the concept of the dining room. She also has great ideas for the items being served, she just doesn't have the ability to execute them in the kitchen.

Virginia's problem is that she sucks in the kitchen! She managed to get thru a few of the challenges, but screwed up EVERY time they tried to complete service.

She's lucky to have gotten half as far as she did.

Heather was the most competent of the chefs from day 1, and totally deserved to win.
