I am 24, 5'8", 160lbs, 31in waste ...

Should I be sticking to a strictly "eating healthy/cardio" regiment to burn the excess fat? I do about an hour a day running/jumping rope, and don't have much time for weights ...

Any useful suggestions welcome!

You're right about the diet and exercise.....just watch your intake and output. Pay attention to how many calories you consume vs how much you exercise. Avoid fast food and drink lots of COLD water. Eat most of your carbs before you work out (caffine makes you crave carbs), and more of your proteins, dairy, and veggies after. Eat smaller portions more frequently, and make sure each meal does not exceed the size of your fist. That will help speed up your metabolism. Don't skip meals and trick your body into going into "hoard mode". Before you get out of bed each day, do 40-50 crunches in bed.....it will wake you up, sling-shot you into your day, and increase your energy level (plus tighten your abs). You could alternate every other day with 30-40 pushups, too. The jumping and jogging takes care of shaping your legs, but you have to spend time on your abs and arms/butt, too.
Give up ALL soda (except in a cocktail occasionally). Soda had soooooo many calories. Juice, too. Switch to unsweetened iced tea or water. If you can't do it, switch to diet soda.

I'd say light weights. I'm not sure how much time you have for exercise, but if you could do cardio (running, sit-ups, push-ups, squats) every single day and a little bit of weights--lots of repetitions. Repetition is the key to a lean body. Lots of stretching.

Some people forget that your diet has A LOT to do with your appearance. You HAVE to eat right to look right. Cut back to meat and veggies... Nothing fried and no excess carbs... You'll reach your goals. Good luck. Hopes that helps.

Chances are that your body is not building lean muscle mass because your body is running on empty, so to speak. You needs to try natural products that will help you build bulk and muscle mass and continue to burn fat.

Herbalife has several key products that are specially designed for what you are trying to accomplish. The products are all natural. Check out this website for more info.
