I'd like a phone with Bluetooth and also infra-red, but want to be able to take it into camera-restricted areas.
I also don't want the extra bulk and weight of a camera lens.

When I say "camera restricted areas" i'm talking about business premises. I work in the motor industry, and some companies don't even allow cameras on site - I have been asked if I have a camera phone at the security gate. I used to work for a company that didn't allow cameras in the car park without specific approval from a manager, with a date and time the camera was permitted, and a copy of the approval handed to the security staff.

The Nokia 6310i - It is an earlier model but very reliable indeed. I know this because my brother has it- even though he has one of the latest models with a camera- he won't even think to part with this one as it has all the features of bloothtooth etc but without the camera. Like you he uses it for places where cameras are not allowed. It works world wide too.

Sony Ericsson makes several models.

On another note, I take my phone everywhere (even concerts) where "cameras" are not allowed. I even see people snapping camera-phone pics. Unless you work at the NSA, when people speak about cameras, they mean serious cameras.

how I check this out is put 'cell phones' in the search web site
and click on the choice, which will include all the various
phones, weight, a descriptions of each phone. etc.

good luck it worked for me!
