That is a false statement. There are many people from the US, who engaged in terrorist activities and therefore are terrorist, who were not and are not Muslim. Timothy was not a Muslim. The KKK, which, by the UN definition of terrorism, would be considered a domestic terrorist cell, were most definitely not Muslim. I think the Muslim population has received such a bad rap. Now don't get me wrong, of course the terrorist we see and hear about were Muslim, and what they do is definitely wrong, but NOT ALL TERRORISTS ARE MUSLIM.
I think many of these people who are not natural born Muslims, tend to join the religion for ideology. Just looking at the religion without totally learning about it, it is easy to see that the religion can help to promote a violent tendency, but a religion does not make someone who is not inherently violent violent. The person has to have that temperament before and the religion helps to cultivate it.

They're not.
IRA members are Irish.
Members of the extinct Shinning Path were Peruvian.
ETA members are Basque.
Rote Arme Front members were German.
In Italy they also had a terrorist group, but I can't remember what it's name was.
Timothy McVeigh.. ring a bell? he was an AMERICAN, and would you classify the Unabomber as a terrorist, or was he just a nutcase?
Ah, and Carlos, the Jackal, a notorious terrorist who was captured, I think in the nineties, if I'm not mistaken, he was French.
So, no, dude, not all terrorists are muslim.

Your premise is faulty. Not all terrorists are Muslim.
The IRA isn't. The KKK isn't. The Oklahoma City bombers weren't. Timothy McVeigh wasn't. Eric Rudolf wasn't. And 2/3 of the groups listed as terrorist organizations by the US aren't.
But the media only tends to focus on what's sensational. And that means Muslim terrorists. Which leads too many people to the false assumption that all Muslims are terrorists.
But the reverse does not hold true either.

They aren't. However, there are more muslims in the world that are willing to be terrorists than any other group, so there are MORE muslim terrorsts than any other group.
It's easy to convert a muslim into a terrorist because of their beliefs.
It's also easy to convince them to be a suicide bomber. The reason for the willingness to give up their life isn't that their cause is more valuable than anyone elses, it is that their life is LESS valuable, because they live in the middle east and are pretty miserable to start with.

Terorrists come from all walks of life, from all different religions.
Okay, well I've never heard of a Buddhist terrorist before.... but I imagine they exist.
Right now, Muslims are high on the radar-scope, both as a result of their own actions, and also because of Bush's Holy War.
