Get rid of him! If he loved you he would never make you do this. Find a guy that excepts your son. You deserve a guy that will love you both as a "package". This guy is selfish and it will only get worse as time goes on.

My dear you need to give your man a reality check because i don't know wether he is your son's biological dad or not but if he isn't then he was aware when he hooked up with you that it was a package deal and that your son should always come first. Please whatever you do, do not choose your man to which is just a piece of *** once in awhile over your wonderful flesh and blood son. You son will always be there, you can't say that your man will be because if he asking you do to something like that then he isn't very mature nor does he really love you. And i for one have 2 kids of my own and i am in a serious relationship with a wonderful man for over a yr and half now and he loves my kids like they are his own and they aren't even the same race and he doesn't care. That is what love is about, follow your heart and mind and do what you know is right. GOOD LUCK

Well personally he is wrong for ever trying to make you choose between him and your child. Of course you should choose your child. No man is worth losing or turning your back on your own child. You carried that child for nin months. That child is a part of you no matter what happens . Your relationship with this man is not promised tomarrow. Your child will always be yours. And further more if this man was half a man he would never put you in that perdictmant. Sounds like he has issues. Let him go. Your child needs you more. He needs to respect you and your child. Its a package deal not an option

Why would you even think about the answer to this? No man is worth giving up your child. Obviously he doesnt love you. If he did he would accept your son as well as you. Its hard being a single mom in today's dating world. Because most men dont want to date a woman with kids. Its a lot of obligation. You gotta get along with her and her kids. Ive been lucky enough to find a man that loves me and my kids. He has issues of course. But its things you learn over time. Kids dont come with a book of instructions. But as hard as things have gotten with their dad and everything else he has stayed. And been more of a father to them than their dad has.

Well it depends.
If your son is 25 and still living at home and mooching off of you, it might actually be the best decision to choose your boyfriend.
You son might need to learn how to take care of himself.
However, if your son is still in high school or younger, drop the man, your son needs you.

You need to be real worried about this guys character. Who in their right mind would make a mother choose between him and her son ?? Something is not right with this guy, he is insane for doing that. He seems to be a very jealous and controlling person. Totally not the type of guy you should be with especially since your a mother. You need to drop this loser. I would have told him he is out of his mind.

Choose your son. If he's going to be shallow enough to ask you to choose, then kick him to the curb. Your son is blood... no questions asked. Find a guy that will accept you and your son.

Your son always has to come first and if he cant understand that then he isnt the right man for you. Never put your son to the side it could be very hard for him growing up and have insecurity problems

Forget about him! You will find another man. But, don't become a bad mother by not choosing him. I have a friend who went through the same thing. His mom chosed her boyfriend and she left the kids. She gave the kids to the father. Now, they are grown-up, starting their family and they don't want to know anything about their mother. They don't talk to her and they don't want to bother with her. Sad..... Be careful.
