i have always loved wearing black, i love gory and dark peotry, creepy books, and bad scary movies, even my mom says im dark, does all this make me goth?

No, not necessarily. You could dress in all black and do all this and not be goth. You're just doing what you like to do. However, everything you're mentioning makes you sound like you're stereotyping goth. Not all goths wear black, love gory/dark poetry, creepy books, bad scary movies...

Goth or emo is a existence-type assertion, and it takes more effective than clothing to provide that impact. it is hair, make up, behaviour ... i appreciate black too and placed on it as a lot as I probably can, and that i artwork in an place of work the position no one has ever assumed that i'm goth. Black will continually be the recent black, it is the most flattering colour of all so bypass for it.

yes i would label myself as a prep but not if i didnt want too

These are just different phases in your life and they pass away.If you give them name or make them a cult they stick to you.So better have it your own way and not to give it a name.

you better be careful. my daughter got pulled into that kind of crowd and now there is a world of trouble. watch what you read and see on tv. trash in, gets trash out.

yes and no. Kids will walk by and go GOOOOOTHHHHH. But they are usually fools, and fools are not good mirrors.
