by really setting my mind on it. it doesn't mean that i didn't ever fail though. you may cheat one day, but don't always just think well i failed so i might as well keep smoking. just start over again and then you'll start to notice that there is more time in between your cheating and you'll eventually feel like you don't need one anymore. it may be the 11th time you tried when you're finally done. good luck!

since you smoke that much everyday, your body got adjusted having these poisons running ur body. That's why people with more serious drug problems can actually die by quiting abruptly. You hav to take decrease your amount of cigarettes maybe every few weeks or whatever you're comfortable with. The reason why you were coughing and stuff (tryign to not smoke) was because your body was so used to having 2-5 cigarettes a day. So each week you should decrease slowly from 2-4cigarettes, then another few weeks, 2-3, then so on.

I quit because my mom has breast cancer no one in our family has ever had it so the doctoers believe it is from smoking. The day i found out i quit cold turkey, when I am stressing I think I need one but I find something else to do. It's been rough but I feel better and I can breathe better and I am saving a s*it load of money.I have not had a smoke in 3 weeks!!!
Yeah for me!!

My boyfriend did it COLD TURKEY..he and his father both said it's the only way to do it. He smoked for 27 years!!
You can also look up on the internet for pictures of what a smoker's brain and lungs look like. It WILL scare the hell out of you.
My man said it was tough, of course at first...but has not had one cigarette...(well we did share one...one night) but hasn't had one in almost a year.
Also think of how rank it makes your hair smell, clothes, your house (if u smoke inside) and stains your teeth.
Even laundry doesn't take away the stink.
I've heard the patch doesn't work from a few different people.

I didn't quit smoking and I probably never will.

My dad quit over 20 years ago and he says he still wants one every single day.

I quit cold turkey. That was 2 years ago and I no longer have cravings. I admit I did at first but, I ignored them because I know it was ruining my health.
