The best bet is to get a picture that is the same size as your screen resolution. To find out your resolution right click your desktop - click properties then use the tabs at the top to choose settings. There will be a slider bar that has your current resolution below it. Other than finding the right size picture you could also use the drop down menu in your background settings that currently says tile. Change it to Center or Stretch depending on how you want it to look.

The same size as your desktop,
From the Display Properties on the Desktop tab you could adjust the Position drop down box to either "Center" or "stretch" and then it would not tile

Around the size of the monitor display, example: 800x600 will fit to a 1024x768, and the same the other way. Good Luck

in windows you would right click the desktop or background, and choose properties.
Under the Desktop tab, choose 'center' or 'stretch'.
To get a perfect size, check your 'screen resolution 'size under the Settings tab
