for someone to wear contact lenses just to change the color of their eyes? I know people who have 20/20, but want green eyes so they use contacts. Does any one else do this? Dont you think its kinda silly?

i am all for people improving their looks, but the contacts have not come to a point yet where they look real or convincing, it just looks awkward and fake. That is not an improvement. They woud be better off to buy a cool pair of glasses, or if it is a girl, learn great make-up to bring out the best of the eyes they have. So, yes, I think it is silly. Actually, more counter-productive than silly.

I don't wear contacts or glasses, but I know what you are talking about.
I think every eye color can be beautiful. It's what you were born with so it's probably a great look. The right clothing and makeup (for women) can really flatter your eyes and make them stand out.
I wouldn't go as far as saying it's silly, it's no worse than dyeing your hair, perms, makeup, or anything else we do to make ourselves look better.

I have vision that is much better than 20/20, and I wear contacts. Why is that silly? I have contacts that black out my whole eye, then there are flames coming from my bottom eyelid. I love them. Why do you think it is silly? Do you think it is silly that people dye their hair, or wear make up? It is the same basic principal.

yes, but people do it cause they wish to have color eyes. I have one pair green and it's been a while I haven't use them. I wear glasses so I use to get a brown or Honey ones instead of wear glasses. As long as they look right and can't tell right away they are contacts and if they look good on you.

For some it is indeed silly. But think -- do you cut your own hair, or pay someone to do it? Why? Who cares? It's just hair and you only want to cut it off, right? Can't you do that yourself? Or, just leave it long.... that's how you were made.
No, I don't wear colored contacts, but what kind of question is this?

Yeah just as the 'Yul Brynner' guy said, its crazy!! Yeah, I know this girl that wear fake contacts even though she has 20/20 vision....its just plain stupid...I wish I didn't have to wear contacts at all (clear)...but hey I don't want to wear glasses all the time.

yes it is silly I think if you dont have to wear contacts you should not do it.I think if God wanted you to have another color eyes he would have made them for you.

Naw I don't think it's silly.. when people change something they don't like about their selves then they have a chance to improve on what they don't like then it's cool!! As long as they are happy then let them do whatever they want..

I don't think it's necessary because contacts can irritate your eyes and why would you want to risk harming yourself for looks!?!
