I have to get my tetanus/hepititas shots soon, and im really scared, any advice? I can't stand needles!!!!

My friend said that our doctor gives the tetanus shot in the butt. Is this even possible? My appointment is getting closer, im really scareeeddd!!!

it wont hurt. it only last like 1 sec. don't worry you'll get through this.

You need to make sure you let your arm relax and not tense it up when you get your shots............tetanus usually goes in the upper arm. Just think about something else while you are getting your shots and it also helps if you take it big deep breath just as the nurse gives the shot.

i am dreadfully scared of needles, but when i have to get a shot or blood taken, i just turn the other way and try to have something in your hand that you can squeeze so it will distract you. try to eat something before you go too, that way you won't feel nauseous.

I too hate needles i say bring an ipod or mp3 player and listen to your favorite tunes. I even bring one to the dentist and it helps. No need to panic we all know when its done we are fine. Good Luck!

tell the Dr or Nurse administering the shot to tell you that you are gonna feel a "little stick" this tells the mind to know it is small and should help i get blood drawn once a month and i always tell them to say "little stick "
