There are many reason why people like to have kids over adopting. They want their children biologically connected to them, they want that bond. They dont want to share their kids with other people when they get older and want to find their birth parents. Women want to experience pregnancy. Or one of the major reasons people don't adopt is because its so hard and expensive. If it wasnt so expensive i think alot more kids would be adopted.

The idea is to have one of YOUR OWN. A lot of people do both.
The Pain is controlled by meds and is fairly limited.
Rather be stuck at the Doctors for a couple of days than in the Red Tape and Legal Jargon of adoption for two years.
Plus having one of your own is a lot cheaper than adoption.

Because we want to have our own biological child. Besides the pain is not that bad and if it gets to the point that you can't handle it, there is always an epidural, not to mention that when it is all over with you don't even remember the pain. Not everyone can afford thousands of dollars to adopt a child that is not theirs. By the way BB that does not make me a whore because I have children. I have been happily married for 4 years and am commited to one man.

Honey, were you born in 1994? That makes you around 12. If so, this post makes perfect sense.

Kids are a pain in the you know what no matter how they get here, the labor itself is only one day in a lifetime of raising them. The labor is the least of a parent's worries!

Having your own kids is an experience like no one can describe. Oh, and about the pain. It's all worth it in the end. "2 days" of pain is worth a lifetime of happiness.

Having your own is easier than adopting. Hey I know have a baby and let me adopt it. Lets see how fast you change your mind.

I love my children and I would love to open a foster home but some of the stories scare the crap out of my husband and I so we don't.

because that child is actually a part of you. Not only does it have half your chromosomes, but you help it grow for 9 months. Adoption is a great thing, but the only reason I would consider it is if I cannot have my own children.

they want some body to carry on from generation to generation that it from thier blood and they don't want to go and take someones children and usually it causes a fight in the futher when the child they adopted finds out that this is not his/her parents and gets angry. Parents want to avoid that propmlwnm so they have thier own children and know that this is thier own child not a child of a complete stranger so it dosen't cause trouble in the futher

Why wouldn't you want a child that looks like you, hmmmm? Duh. Adopting is great, but the experience of having a child is a wonderful one. Also, it is alot harder to adopt a child than to have one. They look into every part of your past and present. If you had to prove to someone that you can afford a child, could you? I couldn't and I have two kids. Once you have them, then you make it work.

I think that part of the reason people would rather have their own children rather than adopt is when you have your own child you know the family medical history, you know that the baby was taken care of while in the womb.
