The number of original colonies the United States was founded from. The original flag had thirteen stars, one for each state. New stars have since been added whenever a new state joins the union, but the idea of adding stripes for new states was soon dropped, so the American flag to this day has thirteen horizontal stripes: six white ones and seven red ones.
The Great Seal of the United States has:
13 levels of the truncated pyramid,
13 letters in "E Pluribus Unum", which appears in the banner running through the eagle's beak on the right side of the bill's reverse.
13 letters in the phrase "Annuit Coeptis", which appears over the pyramid on the left side of the bill's reverse.

There's no such thin g as a lucky number; human's preconceptions of favorable probability (and hence, luck) are simply that: preconceptions. I don't ahve a lucky number because any number that does well or poorly is arbitrary. It's akin to saying that if one were to roll a 6 sided die any finit number of times (Say 1000) that one number (the "lucky number") would come up more often depending on the individual. It's silly; the numbers will come up to as close as 1/6 as possible, ignoring experimental discrepancies with theoretical data.

Basically, it's all in your head.

Oh, and if a number is believed to be "spiritual" or otherwise, reference above, but take into account the fact that said individuals put faith blindly into god/other forces, and therefore should be regarded as similar, yet different to the "luck" phenomenon. Where one believes in luck, a mental preconception, another believes in god, also a mental preconception, but with faith involved.

My lucky number is 3 because everything in my life has happened in threes and every time I pick the number three it brings me good luck.

I dont' call it my lucky number, but i call it my blessed number. It is 73. Seventh day is the day God blessed and He rose on the 3rd day. And in me and my hubby's life we have come across those numbers to encourage us etc.
