Why doesn't she just ask my wife? They go out all the time for lunch. I think my boss wants us to have another kid, because she just had one, so they can grow up together.

Weird to say the least. They are close so she should be having this conversation with your wife. Or so you would think. If your boss really wants you guys to have more children then that strikes me as weird too. Does your boss have other friends, friends with children.
I'd come out and ask her. The next time she ask. Say:" Hey, I've been thinking about that ever since the last time you asked. I was curious to why you asked me.?" Give her a chance to answer. If she says she was only curious. Then tell her the strange ideas you had. See how she reacts.

Your boss needs to mind her own business. Don't let her interfere in your marriage, tell her in a nice way that your marriage, having children or anything else to do with your marriage is your business. Not her's. Others interfering in your marriage by asking personnel questions in the end will always cause trouble.
