I agree. too many people don't want to do any sort of physical activity and eat too much fast food and then want an easy way to lose the weight. they claim they don't know how they gained the weight, or say they have tried everything to lose the weight, and then sue McDonald's for selling the food. i think that's bogus. it isn't any fast food restaurant's fault that people don't know when to stop eating. i hate people who get so fat and then want some drastic surgery to "fix" the problem. it's really sad that being fat is considered a disease now. a disease is usually something you can't prevent. being fat is something you brought on yourself by not shutting your mouth and not getting off your ***. it's really sad to see parents pumping their kids full of sodas and candy and fast food and then wonder how they end up fat. it's no coincidence that fat parents usually have fat kids. they pass their own bad eating and exercising habits on to the innocent kids who then do the same thing. it's sad. that's all.

There's a growing trend of obesity in America, and it's been starting up since the onset of World War II. America has just become a nation on the go that does everything quickly and refuses, for the most part, to take time with their meals. Fast food joints and places that offer highly processed food have become common place throughout America.

Obesity may be increasing but it cannot be an "epidemic," because it is not caused by a communicable infectious agent.
Personally, I think the media emphasis on obesity is to prime us for new nanny-state regulations about personal health. Fat is about to become the new tobacco. Already cities (such as Chicago) are starting to regulate the amount of trans fats restaurants are allowed to serve their customers, and it's farther along in Europe.
Curlybird: it's not quite that simple. If your body is predisposed to hold fat, then keeping weight off by dieting is like holding your breath your whole life.

I even have questioned & concept approximately this for loads of time. And, even nevertheless no 'epidemic' would properly be attributed to one element--it relatively is totally in maximum cases distinctive reasons--i'd say the biggest element is 'prompt' ingredients. ingredients like Hamburger Helper, canned end result & greens, prompt mashed potatoes, minute rices, cake mixes, frozen pie crusts, frozen pizzas, & stuff like that. and of path, the distinctive eating places (maximum eating places serve 'prompt' nutrients too) that have popped up in the final 3 many years,. it relatively is too 'common accessibility', & no longer almost as many energy are burned even whilst cooking those ingredients at residing house. maximum prompt ingredients take 20 minutes or much less to make & they are all one-pot, one-container nutrients.

one is good , two is better three is great . but seriously we are now a society where everything is handed to us on a silver platter.
Drive thru's , cell phones, pc's etc. our forefathers didn't have this easy.
They didn't sit on their butts all day.
And now if you get a value meal etc. it's enough to feed two people.
We need to shut off the TV, and pc's and take a freakin walk.
So I agree with you buddy
