i had to replace the transmission in my 91 cavalier (it's automactic) and every since then it goes up hills slow, what may be causin ng this and how can i fix it thanks. (if need addition info e-mail me at acf52788@yahoo.com)

sounds like its not downshifting correctly, take it back to the shop and have them adjust the downshift cable.

No, just kidding.

I don't believe that the tranny is the problem here. It sounds more of an engine-type issue. Is it getting the gas? Is it missing? (by the sound of the engine). How about the spark plugs/wires/distributor cap? You could also just need a tune up. If you were local to me, I would be able to recommend a good mechanic (he's our friend) who knows a lot about Cavy's.

You may want to have your torque converter checked out to make sure its working all right. Normally a mechanic will just simply put the old torque converter back on, but it may have possibly been damaged when your tranny went south on you.

loss of power, change the spark plugs and see if that helps, if not they are only like 10 bucks

Fluids full? Is it slipping? Emergency brake stuck?

I don't know but I do know this........I have a Cavalier & it's the devil....I HATE it...
