I really prefer strips that already come with the wax instead of the liquid kits that you have to spread on with a spatula. I have been waxing at home for years and I really burned myself with some of the heated wax, so I recommend staying away from anyone that needs heating (it's messy and it can be dangerous).
I DO NOT recommend Nads either...it's really messy and sticky!
I recommend Mary Kay, Avon or Sally Hensen wax strips. To make them work...rub each strip between your hands so the heat will "activate" the wax.

Ok...now for the face...I really don't like the strips at all because their shape is never the same shap of the place you need to wax. On small spots like eyebrows, chin (nasty...I know)...then you should try the liquid wax (the heated kind) because you can apply it easily with a q-tip. Make sure you buys the one that hardens by itself. That way...again, you are not messing around with paper.

To tell you the truth I only use pluckers on my face because my skin gets really sensitive and while I can usually cover my red legs and bikini area with some pants...I can't just throw a blanket over my head! If that's the case for you too...stick with the pluckers too.

I have literally thrown out all my razors...so now I only wax! However, when things get really hairy in "between waxes"...make sure you have a bottle of depilatory cream. lol...for emergencies of course! I like Sally Jensen's the best...Nair's is fine...but Sally Jensen is usually half the price and works just as well.

Good luck!

Leg Waxing Kit

ok, first of all I wax for many years.. I differenciate between the wax I use for face and the one I use for my legs... If you do facial waxing, eyebrows, etc... I suggest you use the Cirepil wax - it's gentle and non sticky. (go for the green color) It's microwavable too. I buy the beads, cuz then I don't need to use the warmer. Never put in microwave wax for longer than 30 sec on HI at the time. You can find it in the Beauty supply stores, or you can have the salon order it for you or if you know anybody that's a professional and will get this for you from salonwax.com..

And then for your legs, I suggest the escential rose - product - and you would need to invest in a warmer... I strongly recommend it. If you know how to use strips you can pick up any GIGI microwavable wax as long as it doesn't say strip free. They used to have a very good strip free wax, but ever since they changed their package design, I was very unhappy with the microwavable stuff it's messy and sticky... So if you have a manicure you can pretty much have it done again, there's no way you can salvage the damage.. Echhh! I am not buying that again. You can also use the 'escential' (and this is the correct spelling, it's the name of the brand) on your face, but I recomend this for the legs because it lasts you longer. It goes on thin and has a good grip. I hope it helps. Otherwise go to any beauty shop where they do waxing, order yourself a wax treatment, and ask the name of the product... so long as you like it, of course. But you can't go wrong with what I gave you unless you have somekind of allergy to the stuff it's made of.

I love the sally hansen wax strips. These are cellophane strips with *wax* already on it, you just press them to your legs, or whatever, and zip it off. Don't have to mess with hot sloppy wax and they give you some creme to soothe your skin. It comes in a box at the drugstore. Actually you might be able to find something like that at http://www.drugstore.com Just type in wax strips hair removal.

I think Sally Hansen has some really good prewaxed strips. I wouldn't use any wax that needs to be heated though. It usually makes a huge mess.
