Anyone know how to make a good wormwood tea? One that might bring on the mysterious effects of wormwood?

Wormwood is not consumed in a tea. Wormwood is unspeakably bitter. There are sites online on how to make absinthe, which is wormwood and few other herbs soaked in vodka for a few months. So actually this would be a wormwood tincture.

I have made it but didn't think it was that great. There are other herbs that are better.

I don't know about teas--I've only heard of wines and liqueurs made with it--Absinthe is the big daddy, but I guess you could put it in other stuff, too.

The plant name is artemisia absinthum. You can buy it--I have some growing in my garden, but you can't buy drinks with it already in it. I don't know that it's such a good idea to drink it--it can cause hallucinations, psychosis, dementia, serious crazy side effects. I think the effects are worse in cumulative doses--I don't know that one glass of absinthe would do it. But I say just skip it and try some meditation or something.

Sweet wormwood (I don't know which type is considered "sweet") is now being used to make a super-pricey malaria medicine for drug-resistant malaria (the type often found in Africa.) The medicine is made from sweet wormwood grown in China. So wormwood's cool, but in a medicinal sort of way.

Wormwood is used for all problems within the digestive system, as well as liver and bladder ailments. It promotes menstruation and will help with menstrual cramps. Do not give to small children, and use only in very small quantities for very short periods of time, as the FDA considers this a poisonous plant. the
I'm not always in agreement with the FDA ....but I would definitely heed their precautions until I did a lot of good research to prove them wrong.
Preparation suggestion...
one teaspoon of 250 ml of boiling water -boil it for 10 minutes. After that, you should filter it. One cup is enough for about 4 days. Then, prepare another helping. Store the tea in cool place.
People who cannot tolerate the bitter taste, should take a teaspoon of pure honey.

I didn't know it had any mysterious effect. Wormwood stimulates the heart and relaxes the muscles. It is good for cardiovascular disorders, hyperactivity, and neuritis.
