I've read the book several times, & was trying to decide if I want to watch the movie. Have any of you seen it? If you've also read the book, how does it compare?

No Comparison - I've read the book and saw the movie - the book was definitely better.
The movie would be interesting to watch. I liked the interaction between the actors...

I haven't read the book, but the movie was very good. If you've read any book which is made into a movie, though, it's hard not to find fault and disappointment.

You should watch the movie first and then read the book. Otherwise you'll be disappointed. Books always have so much more in them. You can't possibly cover that in a film.

I'd stick to the book. The movies never live up to the story. A Nietzschian fantasy can never be reproduced on the screen - the mental images cannot be captured.

Didn't read the book but I really liked the movie. I don't say that about many movies. Check it out. There was a fair amout of sex however it was done well. I think I will go to netflix and watch it again, thanks.

A didn't read the book, but I enjoyed the movie. A couple of very beautiful and sexy women...and a beautiful and sexy Daniel Day-Lewis, too. What's not to like?
