Would the founding fathers be completely appalled at how the Republicans have trashed the bill of rights and 230 years of Constitutional law protecting our personal freedoms?

Not traitors, traitors is thier language of hate and anger.
these people lack moral fiber,
they see solutions like kill them all or nuke them all, or say words like rag heads.
they are not traitors just angry people with little capacity to reason the hard questions. They want easy solutions to complex things. it baffles them.
this country was founded on limts of power to the president, congress and judical for a reason. one party has hijacked the coutnry and this is dangerous without real checks and balances.....at what point does the country lose the democracy we are sending our troops to die for to die giving to others?

None of this is done without reason. Are you so self centered that you think you actually have something to be spied on about? Nobody is spying on you, contrary to what you may think. What arrogance. There was almost 100% approval to go into this war. Are you going to sit their with a straight face and tell me that the president lied to the whole world? Who the hell is torturing Muslims? Where? Can't be GITMO that place is crawling with whiny babies to make sure it isn't going on. So no, I am not a traitor, especially in your little made up story.

Oh? Its just Republicans that have circumvented the Constitution, where as the Democrats are "angels"??? NEVER!!
Each of the Parties have things they should all be ashamed of participating, and neglecting.
Why would Republicans be "traitors", when the Democrat liberal press releases "secrets" to the enemy? Republicans are trying to fight a war on Terror, and you, are a hinderance in this war, because your trying to deny the fact that its happening! You think what measures the Republicans take, is detrimental to our Society, yet we are keeping the terrorists out...
You think that we should LET those terrorists in with open arms to wreck and destroy our Country, kill your mother and father and yourself, and that would be ok, right? You support mass destruction of innocent people!!
Our personal freedoms wouldnt be affected if it wasnt for the terrorists 'MAKEING' us do changes to the way we have to live for awhile...
When this war is over, we can go back to our "regular routines"...(Not that I have changed anything since it started, as it hasnt impacted me at all)...

I don't know about the torturing thing but, they are traitors to the US Constitution for supporting the spying of American citizens and creating these Unconstitutional laws all for the sake of fighting terrorist.

but the democrats do the same thing........If you remember Clinton used the same act as Bush to spy on americans. With the number of people coming into the US every day, I think it's a good idea to spy on some people. If we had done a little more spying maybe the 9/11 attacks wouldn't have occured.

When you are a child you think your parents are 'sooooo mean' because they make decisions for you that you don't like. Perhaps the people in charge right now are making decisions that are protecting the people, but, like the children of parents, we might not understand the "why" of some decisions. We have to trust that they have our best interests at heart and are doing the best they can with the information and tools that they have.

I would have to give you a qualified "YES" on that. The reason for that is that I believe that there are probably a few Republicans out there who do not actually believe that they are involved in that, thanks to massive brainwashing by Fox News and others.
