Yes it is. When you become preggers your senses become supercharged. You will smell and taste things you didn't know had a smell or a taste. If you are concerned though, call your doctor or midwife. They have the answers for you.

CONGRATS!!!

yes it is very normal. i am 6 weeks prego with my 3rd and i have gotten that nasty taste in my mouth with all of my pregnancies....it will go away though sooner or later. just buy some mints or gum and it will help make that taste go away for at least a little bit.

It might be a sign of anemia, in which case your doctor will need to put you on an iron supplement. Mention it at your next appt, or call of you can't wait that long.

Good luck!

yes its pretty normal. So is a coating on your tongue.

If it gets really bad check with your doctor, i think it can also have something to do with preclampsia (or whatever its called).

BUt i had a horrible HORRIBLE taste in my mouth, and a coated tongue until i was 3 months pregnant. It passed on its own.

It might be iron, that's my guess. Probably normal, but I'd let the doctor know so it can be documented just to be sure.

Tell your OB. It may be nothing, but it could be something. I think whenever you have questions during pg, it's best to call the OBs office and not get advice online...pg is such a touchy, personal thing. CONGRATULATIONS!!! :)

Yes I didn't have it but my g/f did. The doc told her it's normal. I blame it on all those minerals in the prenatal vitamins. It's gross I'm sorry.
