Going with the Duo processor won't really give you noticeable performance gains on your games, because most games are not set up to take advantage of the dual core feature. Go with the solo and spend the extra money on more ram.

Duo processors are definitly the better option for playing any type of games, as they offer about 60% better performance than a single core processor. But processors shouldn't be the only thing you consider. For games, you're gonna want 512 mb-1 gb of RAM. Also, at very least, you want a 60 GB hard drive that spins at 5400 rpm or 7200 rpm.

nicely in case you purely desire MS word and an internet browser with runescape, a solo processor could be effective. yet one million.2/one million.4 are VERY sluggish clock speeds, fantastically for a single middle. i might purchase a minimum of above 2.0 for a single middle, in line with risk bigger than that. And overclocking is making your processor go speedier in actuality. It speeds it up based what it became meant to flow. it rather is risky if achieved incorrectly, voids your guarantee, and is frequently impossible except you construct your guy or woman pc.

DUO
i recently got the satellite m100 with duo processors.
two processors = better "multitasking" if you will.
they're a bit more expensive, but DEFINITELY worth the extra cash. i had a solo before the new one and it's horrible compared with the new one.

Get the dual. It's not necessary now, but if you upgrade to other games, it will be. It's a better solution than messy and dangerous overclocking. It's also a better solution than upgrading later and voiding your warranty.
