Nein! Nein! There shall be no cease-fire! Spelling and grammar are necessary for clear and accurate communication; ergo, if you can't spell and use proper grammar you can't communicate effectively.

I could care less about how a person spells...most of the time it's just annoying when someone shows how stupid they are by misspelling something, especially when there's a neato spell check right above the text box here.
As for people who make so many mistakes in grammar that you cannot tell what they are asking, well, our insults to them are usually too high brow for them to understand, thus they are not insulted.

If I misspell (not just a typo) or slip up on grammar, I have no problem with something pointing it out to me. But there are some people (or is it ppl?) here who are so loose, sloppy and creative with the English language that I have trouble either understanding them or taking them seriously. What's wrong with helping a fellow Y!A poster? And isn't "Nazi" a little harsh?

Half the time you can't even understand what people are asking?
It's even more pathetic because there's a spell check built into the message box.

I agree usually, but there are a few times when you can't even understand the question because there are so many words misspelled.
