There are a few game sites that you could choose from that have free online gaming and they also have free downloads sometimes. I know three that i let my little sister use, she is eight, and she loves them. There are games on these sites for all ages and they are entertaining and educational. Try yahoo games, popcap games, or gameshouse games. The websites are listed below.

Why not try playing Snap or a board game,such as Snakes and Ladders. Much better than having your 4year old sitting in front of a computer. Or if the weather is nice,take them in the garden and let them play outside in the fresh air.

playhousedisney.com has free games on there that are great for preschoolers and they're all based on the playhouse shows. You should check out nickelodeon.com too.

www.just.com is quite a good one. there are lots of games to choose from.
some can be difficult though :)
don't let yr wee one on for too long :)
