Coca-Cola and Pepsi have a small amount of pesticides even in the US and Europe which is under the legal level. The reason that it is above the safety levels in Asia is because the Coke and Pepsi companies are "supposedly" not taking measures to process the water to get rid of these toxic residues.

I suspect it is to do with the contamination of the drinking water supplies. It's difficult enough to keep pesticides out of water in the developed world, never mind in areas with less developed regulatory regimes.
Tho' the reports someone has cited refer to India which isn't really in the Middle East so far as I'm concerned.

they are in the coke here also, did you know that when the syrup is transported to the factory to make the cola the truck delivering it has to have hazzardous placards on it

I would assume because there's something that crawls around the bottles and containers, so they need to keep it from getting spoiled by small creatures.
