Why do you think more rich people are so miserable?

I'm not saying that ALL rich people are miserable. I've met some great people that are wealthy and you wouldn't even know it. There are very nice people that have money but there seem to be so many more that are miserable, uptight, rude, inconsiderate, etc. I work in a field that caters to the wealthy....I just see it alot and am curious what the hell is wrong? They are miserable even when on vacation!

If you are rich then PLEASE provide some information if you agree or don't agree to it.

That's an excellent question. Although I'm not wealthy, I live in a wealthy area, so I see examples of what you're referring to all the time. Although money can't buy happiness, I think it CAN buy things that provide a certain degree of peace of mind - being able to pay your bills on time, not having to worry about the next time your car breaks down, owning a beautiful home, being able to easily provide for your family, being able to contribute to those less fortunate, etc.

I'm not sure if the way some rich people act is because they think they're better than everyone else or what. Just to be fair though, I've known very down to earth wealthy people. WHAT a difference!

I think such people spent their lives operating under the assumption that possessions were the key to happiness - this is why they're rich.

However, this assumption is wrong - which is why they're unhappy.

Remember, as Abraham Maslow said, money is a deficit need, like food and water. Not having enough can make you unhappy, but once you do have enough, more doesn't make you any happier.

Some rich people are miserable because they are not satisfied with what they have.

They want more than they need.

IF we are satisfied with only a little that we have , we can still be happy because this is all that we need and we don't want more.

because they worship outside adornments instead of worshiping God and putting family first.
