I am 23 and had unprotected sex with my fiance.
My period is 2 days late as of today there is no sign of it. I had some brownish/pinkish spotting on saturday and sunday and now nothing. Had slight cramping but gone now as well. Last night i kinda felt nausea's but only lasted for a few min. I had sore nipples for 2 weeks and now that is gone as well never had that before either even when it was before my period . I have a weird taste in my mouth like i have not brush my teeth but i did and i noticed it last night .I dont feel pregnant at all. NO other simptoms ..I am on the pill but i skipped it for a week and had sex when i was 5 days on it again...... that was 3 weeks ago and i am not taking the pill now (21 pills 7 days resting ) i was suppose to get my period yesterday morning. i am going to see a doctor next week. Is it possible to take a pregnancy test now or should i wait till the weekend?
Advise would be really Appreciated

You could take a test now if you want to. But in my experience even if the test says it will be accurate as soon as the first day of your missed period it doesn't always tell you that you are prego even when you really are. For example I took a couple tests with my youngest daughter (I have 4 children) & the first one said NO. I didn't believe it because when you've already had 3 children plus one miscarriage it pretty easy to know your body & know when you are or aren't preggers. So I waited about a week and took another test. This time the positive line was just barely even there, I almost had to get a magnifying glass to see it. But it was there & sure enough I was pregnant. Anyway the whole point of telling you all that was just to tell you go ahead & take a test if you want to but being that it is so early still don't get discouraged if it is negative ( that is if you are trying to get pregnant). Because it doesn't necessarily mean that your are not pregnant. Oh & also I've learned that the cheaper tests work just as well & sometimes better than the expensive brand name ones. There are pregnancy tests now you can buy at the drug store that should work -- you didn't mention how long since you had sex and think you may have conceived, but I'm fairly certain I've seen ads for ones that work rather quickly.
You may have psyched yourself into some of these symptoms, from the stress of worrying about pregnancy.
HOWEVER, whatever the OTC test says, you really should get a test from a doctor to be truly sure, so have the test done next week too.

I would wait and take a test maybe on the weekend so that to give your period time to actually come or not come at all. sometimes with periods they can be a few days late or early depending on how your body is feeling. I know i have 4 children and went through this with each pregnancy.

By the time you miss a period for two days, if you are pregnant it would show a positive test by now. On the other hand you did jack your system up by not taking your pills the right way. Get a test and get your answer. Good Luck!!

Most tests out there say they can be taken from the first day of your missed period so if your already late it can't hurt to take it. I do think seeing your doctor is a good thing.
Keep in mind when you do take a home test, sometimes you may get a false negative if the concentration of hormones isn't strong enough in your urine to register but it will never give you a false positive!!

Sounds like your pregnant. Take the test whenever you feel comfortable doing it. Alot of them now can tell sooner. Always follow up with a test from your doctor though. Good Luck!!!

Hun your in the same boat I am, I took a pregnancy test this morning it came up invalid. I have no choice but to wait til my next period comes around and see what happens then. Good luck to us both.

If your period is late you can take a pregnancy test anytime. Anytime you miss a pill you should use a back up method of birth control.

The best advise would be to go see a doctor but you are actually showing some symptoms of pregnancy same thing happened to my girl and now im a soon to be father!

pregnancy tests are accurate today if you'd like peace of mind.
I'm 7 1/2 months into a situation very similar to yours...
go find out and quit wondering!
by the way,
the "generic" test is just as accurate.
buy the "twin pack" from walmart, so you can test again if you are unsure.
