It looks pretty good for the Bus. Of the top 14 all-time leading rushers, only one who's eligible (#12 all-time, Thurman Thomas) is not in the Hall yet. Thomas made the ballot his first year (2006), but was not chosen for induction. Surely Bettis, the #5 all-time leader on the rushing list, will make his first ballot and (thanks to the SB win) will probably sail right in!

13,662 yards over a stellar 13 year career. That averages out to 1,051 yards a season. Thats fantastic for a runningback of his build considering he only rushed for at least 1000 yards 8 out of 13 years. 91 career touchdowns dosen't look to bad on the old Hall of Fame resume either. Plus I think he will be the posterboy for a new wave Steeler greats that will be enshrined in Canton one day.

Yes, he'll have no trouble adding this to his list of accomplishments. He has the stats, he's a team leader, respected around the league, and he took a major cut in pay & playing time to come back one more year for the chance to go out on top. JB is a class act that deserves the honor.
