I am currently on the pill. I had sex about 4 hours after I took the first pill of my last pack. I also used condoms which I discovered were expired. I became paranoid for some reason, and took the next pill of my pack the next morning, instead of waiting till the evening like I normally would, and have continued taking them in the morning. I finished my pack on a Thurs, and normally my period wouldn't come until the following Tuesday or Weds.....But Saturday morning when I went to the bathroom I wiped and there was bright red blood. It lasted for about 4 days, when normally my periods are only 2, and a little heavier. It was pretty much only there when I wiped, but did have clots, and was again bright red. Well since it wasn't when I normally get it I kinda really worried, and stressed so much I made myself physically sick to the point, where I had my DR, put me on anxiety meds. I have taken every HPT there is, including up to this morning, and still negative. I went to the dr

this morning, for a follow up appt, and told her I really think the root of my anxiety is because some of the side effects I am now getting from the meds, are nausea and drowsiness and I have lost my appetite, so I asked her to do a blood test to give me peace of mind once and for all? I know you are all probably just going to tell me I am nuts, and I admit I think I am starting to go a little crazy myself. But I just want some honest advice. Do you think the negative tests were right, and that the blood test will turn out negative as well based on what I have said so I can finally get some peace?? Thanks in advance, for honest advice!!

Ok, you got your period, it was probably heavier then normal becuase you switched up when you were taking your birth control. But you're NOT pregnant. Relax, you're getting WAY overwrought over a problem that doesn't exist. I hope you find inner peace.

Yes, you should stop worrying. The information you have given about being on the pill over one month, taking the first one of your pack a few hours off schedule and using condoms with an expired date are not enough risk factors to cause you to be pregnant. The only things that may have caused a failure of these methods to work would have been missing several pills entirely and/or having a tear in the condom at the time of sexual intercourse. It was wise for you to be concerned enough to go to the doctor to find out why your cycle has become longer than usual and you are having clotting. However, it would help you to relax because it is nearly certain that you are NOT pregnant. The changes are probably hormonal and cycle changes can be caused by anxiety and stress alone.

I think you're making it worse by freaking out so bad. Just calm down and tackle this one day at atime. It's never good to worry yourself so bad about something. Your body just probably reacted because you are taking the pill and anxiety meds. I doubt your pregnant if you used condoms, even if they were expired, unless it broke or something. You will probably solve alot of the problem if you just relaxed a little. Good luck!!

i expect the negative results were correct and that the unusual timing and your current paranoia is a negative reaction to changing the timing on taking the pill. relax, be calm and talk to the doctor again, the stress you are under could well mess up your timing, trust the doc to let you know.

Okay I have no idea what the hell you're talking about. If you've gotten your period then you have absolutely nothing to worry about. Stop being paranoid about nothing.
