Buck Henry and Mel Brooks--what a great writing combination. Only Don Adams could have brought their scripts to life so well for that part. And Agent 99's real name was Agent 99...it was never said on the show.

I was just talking about this a few days ago. I wonder why Hollywood hasn't made it into a movie. Like the Addams Family and Inspector Gadget. (A cartoon voiced by Don Adams)

Sure do...my favorite bit was "the cone of silence." IIRC, there's a movie in the works with Steve Carell as Maxwell Smart. Let's hope it's more like "The Addams Family" (which I loved) than "Bewitched" (which stunk).
