This may sound little unusual. But I am getting little darker than usual after I started playing in sun. So I was just wondering if Sunblock cream is only for white skin or other color skin.

Hello I am asian american so I qualify to answer this .. lol.

It is very important that you use sunblock no matter what race you are because the UV rays will damage your skin. I use anything over 30 SPF. The reason is that asians are usually darker to whites and we have more pigment in the skin. During summer if asians go out in the sun they get a tan that will last 8 months. If a white person got a tan, it usually goes away in 2 weeks. That is the genetics of asians.. we are prone to become darker if we get exposed.

Sunblock lotion or creme doesn't make you any whiter or lighter. It is used for protection against sunburn and skin damage.

If you want to remain or stay lighter, then just put more clothes on or limit yourself outside.
You can't help being asian, and you can't help but get darker if you go outside.

Hope this answers your question!

Asians have their eyes slanted through evolution to protect their eyes of the sun's glare. Ultraviolet UVA and UVB damage any skin, the lighter the skin the more susceptible to be damaged. Therefore, yes, Sunblock cream is for any skin.

~Absolutely. Sunblockers and sun screens should be used by people of all races. Because the ozone layer around the earth is thinner due to pollution, etc., the harmful rays of the sun penetrate deeper into our skin now. The blockers and screens are used to protect your body from the harmful rays which have been proven to cause skin cancer.

depending on your choice of sunblock, the higher SPF, better protection....plus, sunblock helps the UV rays from affecting your skin. slows the aging process, keeps u protected from sun-related cancer e.g. skin melanoma. whatever race u are u should have protection from uv rays...

sunblock is for every skin color. it doesn't protect you from getting a tan. make sure you put on sunblock because it prevents skin cancer and sunburn.

asians still need a low factor to protect against uva rays which cause skin cancer and premature ageing. start with spf 15 your first few days in the sun to give your skin time to adjust and then you can go lower afterwards.
