There's an aspiration bar next to the little pictures of their wants. This comes colour co-ordinated, ie Red, Green, Gold (or what looks like yellow) and Platinum( which looks white) you can also tell what their aspiration level is my holding the mouse pointer over this bar and waiting a few seconds. A small box will pop up and explain their apiration level to you. Once that sim is dead however, you won't be able to play then unless you resurrect them or cheat death.

There are two indicators, one has lines on it, and you get red to platinum. This is the aspiration meter.

But if your sim is dead then you won't have this aspiration meter, maybe you should read your manual as I don't think you will be able to get any rewards as your sim is now dead they have lost all their aspiration etc.

Hi,
get The Sims 4 for free here: http://bitly.com/1ohfpET

All I wanted is a simple game which enhances my creativity and productivity as a young individual. This full version of the game makes me shimmer whenever I read positive feedbacks that this game is capable of bringing out the culture of your family.
It's my favourite game.

Its the bar at the side of the moods. It can be green, or red as well as gold. Gold and platinum is good, green is not so good and red is v.bad. Keep all their wants up, thats how the aspiration increases.
