We are discussing money during a divorce, when one person wants and wants all of a sudden, all and every nickel. Is it tied into emotional separation?

No. By the time that person reaches the point where they want everything, it's a combination of feelings of entitlement, hate and greed. They don't want the other person to have a better life or material goods than they have.

I think it is because they want the other person to suffer in some way and hitting them in the pocket always hurts.

Probobly. But maybe that persone isn't as financially secure as the other person.

yes most people try to hurt the other one and taking all the money will hurt you

It could be possible but my vote is anger! they are going to try to do anything possible to you to make you mad and to notice them for doing it. Another possibility could be greed

No that is call greed. They dont want some or half, they have to have all.

no, at that point it is considered "survival of the fittest". at that point their is no half to that person, it is all or nothing.. like they say "cheaper to keep her"..lol
