I don't know if I understand the question.. Are you looking for a reason they are not ...or are we going to discuss .."why they are" ? Either way it's a thought provoking question. .. If you are asking why are they not depicted as the enemy? I think that's answered simply, the media is owned by the very corporations that benefit from a corporate and warring ruling class. So clearly it's in GE's NBC and Rupert Murdock's FOX among others.. best interest to not portray accurately the plight of middle class America. I don't know if I would say that the Government is the enemy, that's pretty drastic because that leaves us no way out. I am an optimist and would like to believe that we could still "vote" in a fair and just leadership... I know that many people, especially on here ..seem to have given up all hope.

Our real enemy is our own collective p!ss poor attitude. If the voters of the country actually got off their butts and tossed every career politician out on their ears, the message would stop being a message and become a HUGE pink slip.

Add to that the general lack of education on what rights people have and you have the perfect formula for making the US a nation of "We The Sheeple".

I don't care if people agree with me, I just want the whiners (on either side) to get off the couch, head to the polls and VOTE! Not just because they are told to, but for the candidate who says they will do something that the voter in question believes should be done!

And on the flip side - if a politician makes campaign promise and doesn't follow through, they should be fired or sued for breach of promise!

that depends on your outlook, the vast majority of peoples lives are affected and influenced by world corporate ruling class (who are teh real upper class now)

the government runs the country for them rather than for the people, as its easier to please them as they are fewer and more powerful and uses them to influence large numbers of people

public has nothing to faer bcos they stand to benefit from the better world and lifestyle that is created as a result, however this depends where you happen to be in society

lot of companies are not people, they have no morals and as a result make decisions based purely solely on profit - if you happen to be one of teh people that will be trampled underfoot then you are not going to be happy, but overall the vast majority will benefit in material terms

however even a large number of those people will suffer increased stress and more stressful lives in teh environment created

also if you do want the current status quo to change then the american government is your enemy, as change is a by product of teh environment you are talking about, thats one of teh reasons for unrest in world at teh minute

people dont want to stop using oil, its running out so they gonna have to - unfortunately current government has allied itself to the side that wants to keep using oil, so will ultimately 'lose' in this case the government is the publics enemy as some of the people can see this but the structures are not in place to use anything else

this is bcos world corporate ruling class has limited choices available to us, what is happenning is nothing more than a 'changing of the guard' or sea change that happens every 100 years or so when the balance of power tips

While that is a problem they are not currently trying or planning actively to kill us. I vote we take care of the people trying to kill us before we work on the people simply trying to use us.
